++Overview:
Nothing short of a prodigy in the field of Divination, Caprican Malachi was rated as a Beta-Plus psyker by the Black Ships upon his discovery on Vouxis Prime as a youth. Showing remarkable control of his powers, Caprican was swiftly snatched up by an unnamed Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus. Upon achieving the rank of Inquisitor himself, Caprican split from his master and forged his own path in Askellon. Reports on his activities are scant, but investigators believe he leaned heavily towards the Recongregator philosophy, believing that Askellon would become strong again once the establishments of old were destroyed. It is believed he kept counsel with another Inquisitor, a rogue of the Ordo Xenos already under suspicion for erratic behaviour in his investigations, and together they formed the Patternari Cabal, intent on controlling some unexplained future event which doomed the sector. In M41.814 Caprican and the Patternari were declared Radical by Lord Inquisitor Witch-Hunter Spiron Hark, the presiding Inquisitorial power of the sector, and cast out from the Inquisition.
++Organisation: Inquisition, The Patternari Cabal, Heretical Cults.

Up until the events of the Hereticus Tenebrae in M41.815 Inquisitor Wrex Golspire served with distinction in the Ordo Calix, his mastery of planning and tactics unparalleled by his peers. As a member of the Tyrantine Cabal, Inquisitor Golspire was tasked with preventing the sector-ending event known as the Hereticus Tenebrae, the Tyrant Star, which would herald the return of profaned Erasmus Haarlock from beyond the material realm. Numerous heresies are link to Golspire and the Tyrantine Cabal, and in the resulting investigation conducted against the Cabal many members were deemed either lax in their duties or excessive in their execution. Fearing reprisal or retribution, Golspire fled for the newly opened Askellon Sector along with a trusted Agent, bearing with him heretical prophesies gained from Haarlock's Engine. It is believed that contact was made between the Patternari Cabal and Inquisitor Golspire upon his arrival in Askellon.

Research [Necrontyr]

++Conducted by Agent Gnaritas, 823.M41 at Deathwatch Fortress Achilles.
An ancient slumbering race of Xenos that fought wars across the stars before mankind ever existed. Believed to have been a servant race for an ancient enemy of the gods of creation known as the 'Old Ones', how this race become incased in the iron bodies they now occupy is unknown.
Ruins have been found across Askellon that leads researchers to believe that dozens of so called 'Tomb Worlds' exist across the sector. These worlds are currently dormant but are said to awaken.
These Necrontyr as they are known are near impossible to kill. Their iron bodies soak up incredible punishment and their ability to reform makes them utterly impervious to all but the most powerful weapons. Melta weapons in particular have been shown to be efficient against them.

Research [Angel KZ-8]

++Conducted by Agent Hayl, 821.M41 in the library of Navigator House Alotos, Juno.
The Angel KZ-8 system within the Thule subsector had been discovered 500 years earlier by the mysterious navigator house Auriga. Auriga had all but disappeared from records 500 years ago and the system they discovered was added to no known Imperial maps.
Angel KZ-8 had been abandoned since its discovery, House Auriga vanishing along with it. Only the Rogue Trader Serena had tried to find the system again. A single scout sloop went to the system, The King of Crowns, but none of the 10,000 souls aboard returned. The Lady Serena is said to have received a single astropathic communication from the ship and never sent another ship. Whatever she heard in that message was horrible enough to dissuade her from even the lure of profit.
