Leo Arkaidos is a tall thin man, standing approximately 6'5" and weighing in at 82kg. His silver grey hair is drawn back into a ponytail and a gentlemans moustach adorns his upper lip. Leo considers himself an expert duelist with any pistol, he has a particular fondness for high-powered single-shot weaponry such as the dueling las. A fair turn with the blade but he much prefers to leave such work to others better suited to getting gore on their slippers. An avid Xeno-Archanist, Leo absorbs all he can regarding the alien, whether it be medicines, consumables, weapons or culture. Considered to be quite progressive for an Imperial, Leo nevertheless maintains an air of caution when dealing with the Xeno's of the expanse; after all, his grandfather died at the hands of the Orks, his father, the fearsome Umbra. Flamboyant and vivacious, Leo easily charms his way into the hearts of the high ranking, his easy-come easy-go attitude a refreshing change from all the grim minded ghouls with long faces and dark stories. Do not be fooled however, deep within his bubbling personality lies a darker core, a man who has seen what terrors await those who are not prepared or armed with the knowledge to face them…

Object found during 4th watch on sub-route Gamma-Niner. At first the ship augers identified it as debris, but closer inspection revealed a life-pod of unknown origin and design. The object was retrieved via the remote docking claw on deck 38, and stored in holding bay W-3 until it was deemed safe for investigation by Enginseer Kreth'yen. The object resisted several opening attempts, it's foreign build confusing our standard protocols. Enginseer Kreth'yen and his adepts successfully used a low-grade mining laser to break the seal, irreparably damaging the object in the process and releasing a torrent of vitae-fluid. Contained within we found two men deep in hyperbolic sleep, the obvious contusions and bruising from a long-stay in stasis present on their flesh. The medicae was summoned, and the two men quarantined until they could be properly assessed. The object was ejected from the ship immediately. Approximately three hours after quarantine, the medicae returned with a biopsy report. Both men were alive and healthy enough to be roused from stasis, although the medicae claimed he couldn't be sure that they will have much in the way of cognitive function. By his best estimates the men had been asleep for between 36 and 60 months (realspace; non adjusted), and we all know too well the dangers of such practices; muscular atrophy, narcosis, nerve damage, fine-motor-movement impairment, degenerated vision, memory loss, stromal tumours. I instructed the medicae to awake the two men regardless, my curiosity winning out over their well-being. I met both men several hours later, individually at first so as to properly assess any information they might pass on. As the medicae predicted, the men struggled with forming complete sentences and even basic imagery or sketching proved less than useful in my attempts to communicate. I managed to glean the following; Subject A holds the title of Rogue Trader Leo Arkaidos, a tall, thin man of grey hair and noble bearing. The Arkaidos Warrant is known in Imperial Records, however the name "Leo" does not show current ownership. Further investigation proved futile as I delved deeper only to find a veritable plethora of redacted and classified documents and records. Subject A (hence-forth referred to as Leo Arkaidos) informs me that his ship (The Ark of Palinurus) was destroyed in a freak accident above [REDACTED], and to his knowledge just he and his Arch-Militant have survived. Leo maintains that if contact was to be made with one Inquisitor Wrex Golspire of the Ordo Hereticus stationed at the Tricorn upon Scintilla, this would all be sorted post-haste. I maintain my suspicions about the man, despite his easy sense of charming comradery something just doesn't quite add up, and I fear he may be speaking in a facetious manner. It is not uncommon for Rogue Traders to flaunt Imperial Law and tress pass where their warrants do not allow. Subject B identifies himself as Arthis Tybalt, Arch-Militant of the Arkaidos Dynasty flagship "The Ark of Palinurus'. His manner is abrupt and stern, a militaristic upbringing to be sure. He confirms Leo's story in it's entirety, but that does not rule out the possibility of foul-play. My judgement is suitable given the circumstances, and both men are confined to the brig until our tour is complete and they can be handed over to the proper authorities. Chances must not be taken. Stranger things have happened in orbit above [REDACTED], and we pray for the Emperor's guidance in our duties.
Ave Imperator.
