History
Verena, the goddess of learning and wisdom, of law and justice.
Aequitas knew that one could not exist without the other but had always failed to devote himself to the former aspect. It was for this that his rapid rise as an initiate of the temple was cut short, the High Priestess Marieka Van der Perssen declaring that his full ordainment would only occur after a period of pilgrimage.
Aequitas soon tired of presiding over the mundane cases of small farming towns in the Drakwald, where justice was oft immediate, brutal, and dispensed by the mob. After a year of this Aequitas took his ordainment into his own hands, strapping a sword of judgment to his hip he set off to Armengard, the southernmost Imperial holding in the Old World, determined to bring the rule of law and prove to all his right to be the divine instrument of Verena.
