Unit 7 was the designation of a rifleman Legionnaire squadron, built in one of the few failed efforts to defeat the undead armies of Jarl Magnusson. Though immune to many of the terrors and magicks of the Blood-Jarl's forces, the creation of Iron Legions was an extravagence even in the richer days of the city Komtur, a drain on the time and expertise of the rebellions' few magewrights. In a crushing defeat on the Fields of Lindesmacht, the 4th Revolutionary Army was obliterated and the lone, unnamed survivor of Unit 7 lay damaged and dormant in the frost. Spurned by the survivors as a haunted place, the Fields lay undisturbed for some centuries 'til a small band of scavenging adventurers happened across the fallen chassis. Stirred from it's recuperative stasis, the unit led the group back to 'base' for repairs, yet found to it's confusion only the ruins of the city in which he was created, filled with backwards barbarians. The centuries had diminished the mage-lore of the Lorstii, who little resembled the comrades the unit remembered. Unsure of what else to do, the unit fell in with the adventuring party, adopting the familiar routine of daily marching and sentry duty. His present objective is to return himself to peak combat efficacy, and following the decommission of his last party in an incident with a Blue Wyrm, has joined the Lorstii Adventurer's Guild, signing his 'name' - with some hesitation - as 'Unit 7'.
